original poem // serial spinning

Serial Spinning

Point my toes,
forget all my woes.
The world is a disappearing blur
As I pirouette around,
Unaware of the heartbreak I will incur

Late at night
As I feel devoid of light
And even imagining becomes a fight
Because it felt so right.
Throw my body back

in the air, eyes on the ceiling,
the world still pinwheeling.
Throw my body back
into the pillows, eyes on the ceiling
thinking about feeling the air
and how it's not fair.
