Hi! Another new series this week: book tags! I’m going to try to do one of these every month, and to start it off, I’ve chosen to do the A-Z About Me tag, inspired by Alys in Bookland. It’s not technically a very book-related tag, but I haven’t really shared much about myself on this blog so far, so I thought it would be fun! Here it goes:

The A-Z About Me (Sort of Book) Tag!

A – Age: 18

B – Books you are reading: 100 Days of Sunlight (ARC) by Abbie Emmons, The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee, Becoming by Michelle Obama, this book on the American right a friend sent me, and a book on translation (linguistics) I picked up at the library (sorry, I’m definitely the person who reads about a million books at a time).

C – Chore you hate: Taking out the trash. Probably because it involves leaving my room and I feel too lazy to walk an addition 15 feet.

D – Dessert you love: Ice cream! I love lots of flavors, including but not limited to: original vanilla, homemade vanilla, french vanilla, vanilla bean, and Madagascar vanilla 😉

E – Essential start to your day: Taking a shower. If I don’t I usually feel gross and super unproductive, which is the worst.

F – Favorite author/book: J.K. Rowling, Marie Lu, R.J. Palacio, Harry Potter, Legend, Wonder…I can’t decide ahhh.

G – Gold or silver? Gold! A recent development; it was silver for a very long time.

H – Height: 5 feet, 2 inches (technically 1.75, but who’s counting?)

I – Instrument you play: Piano (since I was 5, although I stopped taking lessons about 2 years ago). I also had a brief jaunt with the violin in elementary school.

J – Job title: Still a student. (But I’ve been working as a research assistant at my university since last semester, which is how I got my summer job.)

K – Kids: None! Don’t plan to have any for a LONGGG time.

L – Living arrangements: I’m living with my family currently, but will be moving out for my summer internship soon!

M – Most overused word in your vocabulary: Literally…I literally need to stop saying it so much, because it ruins its impact!

N – Nicknames: I have way too many…but G is one of the most popular ones! First given to me by my seventh grade pre-algebra teacher–thanks Mr. Z 😛

O – Overnight hospital stay other than birth: When I was really young…I don’t really remember it…

P – Pet peeve: Dishonesty / misleading

Q – Quote you like: “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.” by Norman Vincent Peale (I’ve loved this quote since I was about 8 and it used to be a part of my default signature under my name for every email I sent in fourth grade).

R – Right or left handed: Right

S – Siblings?  Yes! I have a younger brother. He’s a freshman in high school and is currently undergoing that super annoying teenage boy phase where he doesn’t want to talk to anyone.

T – Time you woke up today: 7 am…then I went back to sleep and woke up for real at 9.

U – Unique thing about you: Umm I’m scared of butterflies? (Long story)

V – Vegetable you love: Carrots I guess?

W – Worst habit: Binge watching Netflix…I don’t think anything else makes me feel more unproductive.

X – X-rays you’ve had: I’ve had quite a few chest x-rays (for my asthma) plus some for school purposes.

Y – Yummy food you make: Macarons! Given, I’ve only made them once because it took four hours, but they turned out pretty good 🙂

Z – Zodiac Sign: Virgo…I’m not really into astrology, although sometimes I think it’s fun to read horoscopes!
